Family Health Center Classes
Parenting Class
When: Meets every other month (odd months) for three consecutive weeks; Monday through Thursday Time: 10:30am – 12pm Where: Mercy Family Health Center conference room This three-week class is designed to help teach parents the skills necessary to raise happy, healthy children. The focus is widespread, from instilling good values and principles to disciplining and building self-esteem in children. Childcare is available. Prenatal and Infant Care Class
When: Meets every other month (even months) for four weeks; Tuesdays and Thursdays Time: 10am – 12pm Where: Mercy Family Health Center conference room Taught by Registered Nurses, the class covers all aspects of prenatal and postpartum care for mothers, including childbirth preparation. Infant care includes child development, feeding, safety, and basic health care. Childcare is available. Classes are held in the Mercy Family Health Center conference room. When: Fridays: Time: 10:00am – 11:30am Where: Mercy Family Health Center conference room Offered to pregnant and parenting mothers and fathers with infants, Breastfeeding Information and Support covers the importance of breastfeeding. From basic information to the benefits of breastfeeding, there are no questions left unanswered. New and experienced breastfeeding mothers are welcome, and childcare is available.
