At Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, volunteers help us extend our tradition of caring for patients. Mercy volunteers are reliable, kind and enthusiastic people with a desire to help. You’ll see their smiling faces in our gift shop, greeting our many visitors, assisting our support staff as they provide service to our patients, and helping with special events.

To become a Mercy Hospital Volunteer you must:

• Pass a criminal background check
• Pass an employee health screening
• Adhere to the hospital dress code

Volunteers at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center are recognized and rewarded for their work in a variety of ways:

• Annual awards dinner and program in recognition of service to Mercy
• Recognition award pins for hours of service
• Annual flu shots
• Uniforms for appropriate areas
• Community Service Hours
• Work experience
