DexaScan for Bone Density     312.567.2273
Osteoporosis is a disease that lowers bone mass, increasing the risk of major fractures. Over 10 million Americans are diagnosed with Osteoporosis—80% are women. Some women are at greater risk than others and many may not even know they have osteoporosis as some people do not have any symptoms. Your T-score is the value used to determine if you need medication to maintain bone mass, thus reducing bone loss and fracture risk.

At Mercy, you’ll find the DexaScan—the most advanced diagnostic screening tool for the measurement of bone density and T-score results. Early detection leads to a stronger, healthier life and at Mercy we’re leading the way with a gold standard of care and advanced technology.

A physician referral is required for DexaScan; so talk to your doctor today about your risk for Osteoporosis and if screening is right for you.To find a physician at Mercy, call Physician Referral at 1.800.Doctors or 312.567.2600.

To schedule a DexaScan, call the Scheduling Center at 312.567.2273 or request an appointment on-line.
