 Mercy’s Integrative Medicine & Wellness Program, conveniently located at Mercy Medical at Dearborn Station, helps patients to embrace their health and learn to live well. Offering a wide-array of integrative services, the program and its highly credentialed and licensed professionals, are committed to using these disciplines to bring healing and balance to patient’s lives. They are not meant to replace traditional therapies, but rather work with them.Service Offered: Acupuncture: Acupuncture is a therapeutic process that restores the body’s natural flow of vital energy through the insertion of tiny, sterilized needles into specific points. Chiropractic: Chiropractic care focuses on the manual treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. We utilize patient-centered and evidence-based procedures to treat back pain, neck pain, sciatica, herniated discs, work-related injuries and headaches. Mercy’s Comprehensive Breast & Women’s Health Care Center is revolutionizing post-surgery care to women who have had recent lumpectomies or mastectomies. Through a grant from the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Mercy is able to provide free integrative therapies (acupuncture & massage) free of charge to women who complete treatment at Mercy. Free meditation and yoga classes are also offered to women recovering from breast cancer. Therapies and classes help address treatment related symptoms, relieve anxiety, and help patients to build healthier lifestyles.
