Mercy's Radiology program provides comprehensive, high quality inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, general x-ray imaging, and interventional radiology services. Using state-of-the-art technology, Mercy's radiology team provides the most precise images you and your physician need to make the best medical decisions. Imaging techniques and procedures available at Mercy include high field traditional MRI and Open MRI, 64-slice Computed Tomography (CT), ultrasound including obstetric imaging, digital mammography, breast MRI, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Nuclear Medicine including Nuclear Cardiology and CT-PET scanning.
Mercy's Radiology program accredited to the highest standards or quality and excellence by the American College of Radiology. Imaging at Mercy is fully digitized for all modalities, allowing for optimal interpretation and access for your physician, and all images are read by sub-specialized board certified physicians called radiologists. Mercy radiologists work collaboratively with you and your physician serving as a resource providing consultations and analysis whenever needed.

What is diagnostic imaging and radiology?
Diagnostic imaging and radiology procedures are used to identify and diagnose a range of disease, illness, or injury using a wide-array of technologies. For example, an x-ray may be used to confirm a broken limb or an ultrasound to check for abnormalities in the heart. The goal of diagnostic imaging is to assist physicians and patients to make the best medical decision possible by providing confirmation of the presence or progression of disease or injury or to help eliminate suspicion of disease or injury.
